Hi Marilyn,
Yeah well, you sort of can't convince me about the extra fur with Barnie, he was my best friend and his undercoat just didn't bother me because he was such an awesome Dog. I dedicated this to page to him... http://www.couper.com.au/froggy4x4/archive_pics/2009_04_13/ And if I'd gone and got another Golden I would have always compared with Barnie and that would not have been fair. My wife was always jealous of my friendship with Barnie. We were not in the market of getting another Dog, Barnie was going to be our last - but then when Joy introduced us to the Flat Coats and then doing some research on them and then sighting Couper... well the rest is just history and even the wife loves this little Flat Coat - he is just full of life. The weirdest thing is which I just don't get at the minute, not even a thunder storm bothers Couper and I'm sure he is not deaf.
Thanks and yes he is cute and it only seems like he was a puppy for 5 minutes. He has grown so fast and the learning capabilities are keeping up with his incredible growth spurt. What I like about the retrieves is that if there is nothing to do, they just don?t run a muck and the Flat Coats seem to be no different in that respect to the Golden?s. Yeah, so I think Couper is now teaching me more like how to keep up with him.
Just got to be weary as to when he needs a rest because it seems he will keep going well after most dogs will just drop and lie down ? give up, Couper doesn?t know the meaning of giving up.

Hi Geoff, Shadow looks very cute. Gather its your first Flatcoat? They are such great fun. Looking forward to hearing how you get on with him.
